How many ovulation tests will I need?
If you are starting ovulation tests for the first time, it is natural to wonder how many tests you will need to use.
This depends directly on the length of your cycle, so to ensure you do not miss the positive result, for the first month of use we recommend:
If you have a regular cycle of up to 30 days, a pack of 10 ovulation tests is a good quantity to have. It will certainly be enough for the first month, and it is very likely you can use them in a subsequent cycle if needed (on average, women with a regular cycle use 5 tests per month).
If you have an irregular cycle or a cycle longer than 30 days, it is advisable to get more for the first month, at least 20 ovulation tests, since the most important thing is not to miss the positive result due to a shortage of tests (our statistics show reasonable variations in the number of tests a woman may need).
Ovulation tests should be done one per day until a positive result. It is equally important to test at approximately the same time each day, as a positive result often appears only for 24 hours.
Skipping days or leaving large gaps between tests is a big risk and does not comply with the correct use of ovulation tests.
As for how many months you will need to use ovulation tests before achieving the expected pregnancy, there is no precise way to know, as many factors affect fertility (such as diet, stress, age, etc.). However, ovulation tests are a valuable ally in this journey.
Many of our clients choose ovulation test packs for a period longer than one month, estimating that it may take more than one month to achieve the desired result. The advantage here is that the tests are proportionally more economical and there is a reserve for immediate use when needed.
