In the video below, you will find the personal experience of the beloved pickmymommybrain (aka Georgina) with tips on how she tracked her cycle and increased her chances of conception!
She explains the plan she followed to get pregnant for all three of her pregnancies.
She first mentions the ovulation strips she used from One Step and explains that they should first be dipped into a container of collected urine and the necessary time should be waited for the result to appear.
According to her, the best time to do them is around noon, not with first-morning urine like pregnancy tests. Also, it is recommended to keep the same time each day when performing the test.
When should they be started during the cycle? Each kit comes with a chart indicating the correct day to start based on your cycle.
For One Step ovulation tests, a positive result is when there are 2 lines, and the second line (test line) is as dark or darker than the first (control line). This happens because the LH hormone being detected is generally present in our bodies, but as ovulation approaches, it gradually increases, which is reflected in the intensity of the line.
Regarding intercourse, when the ovulation test was positive, they used 3 consecutive days for more reliable results. (A positive test means ovulation will occur within the next 36 hours, so the following 48 hours is the most fertile period of the cycle, as the egg remains in the fallopian tube for a few hours after ovulation, during which fertilization is still possible).
She found out she was pregnant during each of her pregnancies on the 9th day after ovulation, using the company’s pregnancy strips, which she continued to use over the next days to see the line darken and confirm that the hCG hormone was rising. In the end, she mentions that they are more sensitive than the expensive pregnancy tests on the market, which made us extremely happy and proud 🙂
